Itinerary

Depart Sydney to Shanghai in the morning and arrive in the evening. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your 4* hotel for the night.

Travel by coach to Hangzhou in the morning. Upon arrival, check into your 4* hotel in Hangzhou for 2 nights. You will have a free afternoon to explore this exciting city.

Cruise the West Lake by boat and visit the Southern Song Dynasty Guan Kiln Museum.

After breakfast we will travel by bullet train to Yixing. In the afternoon you will go for a local tour around Yixing. Yixing, located in southern Jiangsu on the western shore of Lake Tai, is a well-known Chinese center for ceramics in the Wuyue cultural tradition. Yixing ceramics have a long history. Yixing's boccaro in particular, with its use of a unique clay, characteristic design, and simple natural beauty, has gained fame throughout China and the world. Tourist sights in Yixing include Shanjuan Cave, Zhanggong Cave, Yixing Bamboo Forest, Longbeishan Forest Park, Yiyuan Garden, and the Taozu Sacred Site. Visit some of these scenery spots.

You will have a day out to visit the ancient port of Yaoli and Dongbu. There is a beautiful place between blue hills and a green stream. Fish are flicking with water while people are traveling through picturesque vistas. This is Yaoli, a famed ancient town of porcelain and tea near Jingdezhen. In the evening, we are transferred to airport for your flight to Xi’an. Xi’an is a large city and capital of Shaanxi Province in central China. Once known as Chang’an (Eternal Peace), it marks the Silk Road’s eastern end and was home to the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang dynasties' ruling houses. At archaeological sites in Xi’an’s surrounding plains are the famed Bingmayong (Terra Cotta Army), thousands of life-size, hand-molded figures buried with China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang.

In the morning, visit the Ceramic Terra Cotta Warriors Factory to see how the local make the Ceramic terra-cotta figures, the same way, which their old generation used to make the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses for the Qin Shi Huang’s Tomb. Then you will enjoy a full day excursion to the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang guarded by the famous Terracotta Army, 7000 life size clay statues each individually crafted, complete with chariots and horses. You will also visit Banpo Neolithic Villages. In the evening, you will attend a dinner performance of Tang era music and dance at the grand Tang Theater.
