Sydney passengers depart at 11:00am on MU562 and arriving in Shanghai at 7:00pm. Melbourne passengers depart at 11:00am on MU738 and arriving in Shanghai at 7:50pm. You will be met by our Chinese tour guide and transferred to your 4-star hotel in Shanghai.

After breakfast, you will start your sightseeing in Shanghai. Enjoy your wonderful tour to beautiful Yu Garden in the old Shanghai City and walk along the famous Bund area. Then continue to visit the former French Concession area and enjoy your shopping in Nanjing Road, known as the No. 1 Shopping Paradise in China. Visit Xintiandi. Located in the center of Shanghai City and south of Middle Huaihai Road, Xintiandi is a fashionable pedestrian street composed of old-style Shikumen residences and modern architecture. It retains the antique walls, tiles and exterior of the Shikumen residences of old Shanghai while embodies a totally modern world in its interior. Roaming here, you will get the taste of both Shanghai in the 1920s and the modern lifestyle of urbanites of the 21st century.

After breakfast, you are transferred to airport for a flight to Wuhan, where you will be transferred to Yichang by high-speed train. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to restaurant to have dinner. After dinner, you will board the five-star cruise ship for your Yangtze River cruise. With a rich Chinese cultural heritage of thousands of years, the Three Gorges is not only a picturesque natural gallery, but also a spectacular treasure house.

Today you will visit the Three Gorges Dam at Sandouping, the largest in the world. Later sail through the Three Gorges Dam ship locks. Sail through Xiling Gorge, the longest (41 miles), and the deepest of the Three Gorges. Additional Tribe of the Three Gorges Shore Excursion (river conditions permitting), offering an interesting glimpse into life in the Xiling Gorge region.

Take an excursion through the Goddess Stream Small Gorges, which are narrower than the Three Gorges, but very impressive. Enter Wu Gorge, known for its quiet beauty, forest-covered mountains, and cliffs so sheer that the sun barely penetrates the precipices. Then sail through Qutang Gorge, the shortest (5 miles), narrowest (500 feet), and most dramatic gorge. Additional Shore Excursion to White Emperor City (river conditions permitting), an ancient city overlooking the western end of Qutang Gorge.

Take a shore excursion to Fengdu City, large complex of shrines, temples and monasteries dedicated to the afterlife located on the Ming mountain, in Fengdu County, Chongqing municipality, China.

The cruiser arrives at the destination – Chongqing. Visit Panda House to see the Pandas. After dinner (at your own cost), you are transferred to airport to take flight to Xian. Upon arrival, you are transferred to your hotel to check in.

Visit the Porcelain Terra Cotta Warriors Factory to see how the local make the porcelain terra-cotta figures, the same way, which their old generation used to make the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses for the Qin Shi Huang’s Tomb. Continue to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, the attached defending army to the first emperor of China, regarded as “the eighth wonder of the world” and among the top archaeological excavations of the 20th century. Travel back to Xi’an where you will visit the Muslim Street. Later afternoon, you will be transferred back to hotel. Dinner will be at your own expense.

After breakfast, you will visit the Ancient City Wall, which is not only the most complete city wall that has survived in China, but is also one of the largest and most complete ancient military defence systems in the world. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight to Beijing, the capital city of China. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to dinner.

Beijing served as the capital of 5 dynasties over a period of 800 years with each emperor identified as a dragon sent from the heaven. Start your city tour to Tiananmen Square, followed by a visit to the Forbidden City. This complex, the largest and most intact conglomeration of ancient structures of the imperial palace ever built in the world, features more than 800 buildings with 9999 rooms, resplendent golden-glazed roofs, red lacquered pillars and vermilion walls. Enjoy the Peking Duck dinner in the evening.

The highlight today is a trip to the astonishing Great Wall at Juyongguan Part. The Great Wall is the most famous image of China throughout the world. It is the only man-made object visible from the moon, and as one of the Eight Wonders of the world. It is a symbol of Chinese traditional culture and the pride of the Chinese nation. Later visit the Temple of Heaven, a complex of imperial religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for a good harvest. Afterwards, you will have a free time and have your dinner at your own expense.

Visit Summer Palace, a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing. It was an imperial garden in the Qing dynasty. Inside includes Longevity Hill Kunming Lake and Seventeen Hole Bridge. Afterwards you will be transferred to airport for your flight to Sydney via Shanghai.
