Returned from the above tour last Saturday

Overall a good tour with great tour guides especially Ella who accompanied us for the first 12 days in Xinjiang. She’s the best! Orlando in Dunhuang and Lola in Xi’an are both good as well

Hotel accommodations excellent especially the Home2 suites by Hilton in Kashgar. Staff generally helpful and friendly with translation help from tour guides and fellow Travellers

Food was very good and plenty of choices. We tried local cuisine in some beautiful Uyghur restaurants as well as Han food. We were taken to some very nice restaurants. Our group absolutely loved the buffet dinner in Xi’an. It was an excellent choice for our last dinner.

Local people especially in Xinjiang are very welcoming and friendly

Helen and I are not experienced international traveler’s and we’re quite nervous about this trip. Everything was organised perfectly by ADT. We were met in the airport in Cairo and cared for perfectly for the entire time. The small group was great. Different types, a couple of single traveler’s, a family, a couple of friends and some couples. The guides were great, the information very informative and the travel and accommodation very safe and classy. The food was very good, the weather was not too hot and we loved the history. We thoroughly recommend this company and would use them again without hesitation. We travelled in September 2023.

We just returned from our Vietnam tour organised by Asia Discovery Tours. All the guides were excellent and our special compliment goes to Anh Hyung, our Saigon guide, who was very knowledgeable, informative and helpful. All the hotels were fabulous. We like all the big swimming pools in these hotels which we could cool us down and refresh ourselves from the heat after each day's tour. We enjoyed all the genuine Vietnamese food and we were spoiled with the variety of fresh food every meal. Well done, Asia Discovery Tours. We will definitely travel with you again and recommend our friends and relatives to this tour.

Hi Allan, I returned last night from my Balkan Tour. This email is to let you know that the tour was fantastic. We were very lucky with unexpectedly wonderful weather. The tour was great value and the group of people were fun to be with. However one of the highlights was our guide – Dejan. He remembered me from the Baltic tour I had done with him. His knowledge is just incredible and his kind caring nature made everyone at ease. Pretty impressive for a qualified lawyer. The coach driver, Victor, was also a wonderful driver and a fun person – he had been a police officer! Thanks again for the great trip. Cheers Michael

There were 11 of us on this tour - 9 Aussies and 2 from NZ. We were met at the airport by Dejan, our Slovenian guide for the trip - he was excellent. Good sense of humour and really nothing was too much trouble. We had a 34 seater bus - very comfortable, driven first by the owner of the bus company and then by his son. Both very good drivers. All the hotels were better than I had expected for the price - except for one that even Booking.com had listed as 4* but really was just about 2.5*. ADT will not be using that one again. As well as breakfast, all evening meals were included - usually three courses, occasionally with wine. We always had a salad of sorts but rearely green vegetables - that was really the only thing I missed. We covered seven different countries on the tour, Starting in Zagreb and finishing in Belgrade. While there were many currency changes, we all got by with Euros and in Croatia using Kuna. Euros were quite widely accepted in other countries, and I always got Euros back in change. My 28 degree Mastercard came in handy when I didn't want to use Euros. I did a quick "survey" towards the end of the tour and everyone said that the tour definitely lived up to expectations and in many ways exceeded it. Also it was top value for money. I travelled single and only on one occasion did I have a cramped hotel room - in Maribor I even had a suite - stunning. We were blessed with fine, hot weather, except at the very end of the tour - rather exceptional for September. It was a fabulous trip and I can highly recommend it to anyone who is looking at touring this area of Europe. Date of experience: September 2018

Hi Alex Excellent tour. Good itinerary and mostly, well informed guides. Providing foot warmers, hand and camera heaters, as well as crampons to put on our shoes was really good. Not too many shops and not pressure to buy was good. Perhaps letting us know at the beginning about optional extras in Shanghai and Harbin would be better. The hotels were good except for the Holiday Inn in Harbin. Mostly clean buses. Good to have plenty of seats. I would certainly recommend this tour to the more adventurous travellers. Also I"d like to express my appreciation to Dejan (Tour Guide) for his enormous knowledge about Yugoslavia history, his dedication and hard working to ensure everyone has a wonderful, enjoyable, memorial tour. In addition, I'd like to thank Vikki ( Driver) who worked very hard to make sure everyone is safe and sound. Without these two amazing persons and all members in the group, this Balkan 2023 would not be completely awesome. I have learnt so much experience and everyone is my teacher.
