Day 01: Australia - Beijing
Depart Australia to Beijing, capital city of China on China Easter Airlines. Arrive in Beijing in the evening. Our tour guide will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your 4 star hotel for 3 nights.
Day 02: Beijing (B/L/D)
Beijing served as the capital of 5 dynasties over a period of 800 years with each emperor identified as a dragon sent from the heaven. Start your city tour with a visit to the Forbidden City. This complex, the largest and most intact conglomeration of ancient structures of the imperial palace ever built in the world, features more than 800 buildings with 9999 rooms, resplendent golden-glazed roofs, red lacquered pillars and vermilion walls. Next stop is the Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world, its monuments and buildings situated around the square's perimeter. Then tour to the Temple of Heaven, which was used to offer sacrifices to heaven and pray for good harvest in ancient times. Enjoy the famous Peking Duck dinner in the evening.
Day 03: Beijing (B/L/D)
The highlight today is a trip to the astonishing Great Wall at Juyongguan Pass. The Great Wall is the most famous image of China throughout the world. It is the only man-made object visible from the moon, and as one of the Eight Wonders of the world. It is a symbol of Chinese traditional culture and the pride of the Chinese nation. Later visit the Sacred Path of Ming Tombs, 13 of the 16 Ming emperors have their tombs here. This is an attractive destination as much for the natural scenery of the area as for the tombs themselves. Visit the Cloisonne Factory and the biggest Jade Exhibition Center in Asia. Followed by a tricycle tour to the historic Hutong and Alley of Beijing old town, take in the sights and sounds of Beijing of olden times. Enjoy an exciting Kung Fu Show in the evening.
Day 04: Beijing - Xian (B/L/D)
Tour to the Summer Palace in the morning, the largest ancient preserved garden in China and a former summer resort for Emperors and the chosen few. Also included today is a visit to Beijing Olympics Site including the Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube. After that you are transferred to airport for flight to Xian, the first Chinese city to open up its doors to the ancient world during the Tang Dynasty as the first stop on the Silk Road. Over a period of more than 2000 years, Xian was the capital for eleven dynasties. Along with Rome and Constantinople, this city was a world leader in culture and trade and played a vital role in bridging the gap between east and west. Upon arrival visit the Ancient City Wall, it is not only the most complete city wall that has survived in China, but it's also one of the largest and most complete ancient military defence systems in the world. Then tour to the Large Wild Goose Pagoda, the symbol of the city, it is said to have been built to house and protect Buddhist scriptures collected by the Chinese monk, Xuan Zang, the key figure in Journey to the West. Stay in a 4 star hotel for 2 nights in Xian.
Day 05: Xian (B/L/D)
Visit the Porcelain Terra Cotta Warriors Factory and learn how the Terra-cotta were made and then continue to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, the attached defending army to the first emperor of China, which is regarded as "the eighth wonder of the world" and among the top archaeological excavations of the 20th century. Also have a visit to 6,000-year-old Neolithic village remain in Banpo Museum. Enjoy the Dumpling Banquet dinner and Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing Show in the evening.
Day 06: Xian - Wuhan - Yichan - Three Gorges (B/L/D)
Fly to Wuhan in the morning, then visit Yellow Crane Pavilion. You will have a bird’s eye view of Wuhan City and the Yangtze River. Continue to Yichang by coach. After dinner board the 5 star deluxe Yangtze River cruiser and start your deluxe Yangtze River cruise. With a rich Chinese cultural heritage of thousands of years, the Three Gorges is not only a picturesque natural gallery, but also a spectacular treasure house. Stay on board the 5 star cruise ship.
Day 07: Three Gorges (B/L/D)
The cruise will depart Yichang Pier at 08:00am, Then arrive Yangjiawan Pier at 11:00am. Next we will see the Three Gorges Dam Project-Shore Excursion from 2:00 to 5:00pm. The Three Gorges comprise of the arresting Qutang Gorge (8km), the idyllic Wu Gorge (44km) and the treacherous Xiling Gorge (66km). Between the Three Gorges laid the wide valleys of Daning River and Fragrant Stream.
Day 08: Three Gorges (B/L/D)
Today we will pass Xiling Gorge - West Part, which is renowned for being extremely perilous and is the longest one of the Three Gorges. The water is full of turbulent currents and whirlpools and dangerous shoals. Transfer to smaller boats to see the Shennongxi Stream. In the afternoon, we will pass Wu Gorge, The Wu Gorge boasts the most immediately beautiful and spectacular scenery of the Three Gorges. Then we will pass Qutang Gorge around 5:00pm. Although Qutang Gorge is the smallest among the Three Gorges, it is actually the most powerful one and the water here flows most rapidly at this spot.
Day 09: Three Gorges (B/L/D)
Fengdu is traditionally known as the town of ghosts. Upon the Mingshan Hill above the river is a temple with a number of halls and statues of ghosts and devils. There is also a park with displays of the imagined lives in hell. It is considered that all people's ghosts, of whatever nationality, will come to Fengdu after death. Today you will visit the Fengdu Ghost City.
Day 10: Three Gorges - Chongqing - Hangzhou (B/L/D)
The cruiser arrives the destination - Chongqing. Visit Panda House to see the Pandas. After lunch, you are transferred to airport to take flight to Hangzhou. Upon arrival, you are transferred to your hotel.
Day 11: Hangzhou - Suzhou (B/L/D)
Hangzhou is a city with a rich history and culture. Marco Polo described this place as "the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world". Take the boat cruise on the magnificent West Lake, the symbol of the city and crammed full of interesting sights. Continue to visit the Yellow Dragon Cave, and taste the well-known Dragon Well Tea at the No.1 tea plantation. Take coach to Suzhou in the afternoon. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for the night.
Day 12: Suzhou - Shanghai (B/L/D)
Suzhou has been praised as the "Paradise on the Earth" since ancient times and is an extraordinarily delicate and elegant city. Known as "Venice of the East", Suzhou is built around Grand Canal. The city’s many excellent classical gardens have entitled Suzhou the "Garden City". Our sightseeing includes the Tiger Hill, Garden of the Master of the Nets, boat cruise on the Grand Canal. Travel by coach to Shanghai-the largest commercial and financial center of China after enjoying the Silk Fashion Show. After dinner enjoy a night cruise on the Huangpu River.
Day 13: Shanghai (B/L/D)
Stroll the Nanjing Road and the Bund (Wai Tan) waterfront area, a sweeping area along the Huangpu River, where used to be foreign concessions and now is the symbol of modern Shanghai. Here is the best place to capture the western influence of the old days. Visit the Yuyuan Garden and the Old City Temple. Enjoy an exciting Acrobatic Show in the evening.
Day 14: Shanghai - Australia (B)
After breakfast free at leisure, Tour guide will pick you up from your hotel then transfer to airport to take evening flight to Australia.
Day 15: Australia
Arrive in Australia in the morning. Your unforgettable China tour ends.
