Day 01: Australia - Beijing
Depart Australia to Beijing in the morning and arrive in Beijing-the capital of China in the evening. Our tour guide will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 02: Beijing (B.L.D)
Full-day tour will begin at the magnificent Forbidden City, home to emperors for over 500 years. Stroll through Tiananmen Square. After that, return to hotel for a rest before dinner followed by a spectacular Kungfu (Martial Art) performance in the evening.
Day 03: Beijing (B.L.D)
In the morning you will leave for your Beijing Alleys Tour. Ride in three wheel rickshaws through Beijing’s quaint alleys experiencing life as a Beijing local. Enjoy lunch with a Beijing family in a traditional four walled home. Witness the splendor of the Summer Palace and the holy Lama Temple once a mansion home for a prince and according to tradition converted to a temple after he left. This evening, you are invited to a Peking Duck banquet.
Day 04: Beijing (B.L.D)
A full-day tour will take you in the grandeur of the Eighth Wonder of the World, The Juyongguan Great Wall and also the Ming Tombs. On the way back to the capital, stop to visit the Olympics Stadium (visit inside if it is open to public by then). Enjoy a buffet dinner this evening.
Day 05: Beijing - Xian (B.L.D)
Fly to Xian in the morning, the first Chinese city to open up its doors to the ancient world during the Tang Dynasty as the first step on the Silk Road. Over a period of more than 2,000 years, Xian was the capital of eleven dynasties. Along with Rome and Constantinople, this city was a world leader in culture and trade and played a vital role in bridging the gap between East and West. Upon arrival, visit the well-preserved City walls, Grand Mosque and Muslim street. Enjoy the Dumpling Banquet dinner and the Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing Show in the evening.
Day 06: Xian (B.L.D)
Today you will visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, the attached defending army to the first emperor of China, it is regarded as "the eighth wonder of the world" and among the top archaeological excavations of the 20th century. You will also visit Banpo Neolithic Villages.
Day 07: Xian - Guilin (B.L.D)
After breakfast, you will visit the Shanxi Provincial Museum, one of the best history museums in the nation and the majestic Big Wild Goose Pagoda Visit the Large Wild Goose Pagoda, the symbol of the city, it is said to have been built to house and protect Buddhist scriptures collected by the Chinese monk, Xuan Zang, the key figure in "Journey to the West". Afterwards transfer to airport for your flight to Guilin, a city hailed by many as the most beautiful place in China. Upon arrival, met and transferred to hotel.
Day 08: Guilin - Yangshuo (B.L.D)
Guilin is one of the must-see destinations for most foreign tourists. According to a popular Chinese saying: Guilin’s scenery bests all others in the world. Its shapely-rising limestone towers and crystal-clear waters are often portrayed in Chinese artworks. Adding to its natural beauty are many fascinating caves. Take a boat cruise trip from Guilin along the Lijiang River for one of the finest excursions on your tour of China. The journey downstream to Yangshuo offers 30 miles of breathtaking scenery. Sightsee at Yangshuo West Street. After dinner, enjoy the large-scale live performance on the Li River: The Impression Sanjie Liu directed by film director Zhang Yimou, who is directed the opening ceremony of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Day 09: Yangshuo - Guilin - Shanghai (B.L.D)
Yangshuo borders the Li River on one side, and is situated on a small plain between numbers of karst peaks. Two main roads run away from the water and form the central part of the town, Chinese Street and West Street. Then drive back to Guilin, sightsee at the Elephant Trunk Hill, Reed Flute Cave. The limestone karst formation in this area is extensively eroded underground and Reed Flute Cave is one of the finest examples of these caves. After dinner, you are transferred to airport for your flight to Shanghai, the largest commercial and financial centre of China. Upon arrival, you are transferred to your hotel.
Day 10: Shanghai - Wuzhen - Hangzhou (B.L.D.)
Travel by coach to Hangzhou, a city with a rich history and culture. Marco Polo described this place as "the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world". En-route you will visit Wuzhen, a quiet Water Town with 1300 years history, small bridges here and there. Stay overnight in Hangzhou.
Day 11: Hangzhou - Shanghai (B.L.D.)
Take the boat cruise on the magnificent West Lake, the symbol of the city and crammed full of interesting sights, visit the Yellow Dragon Cave, taste the well-known Dragon Well Tea at the No.1 tea plantation. Then drive back to Shanghai and stay overnight in Shanghai.
Day 12: Shanghai (B.L.D)
After breakfast, there is the chance to stroll on the Bund overlooking Huangpu River with its backdrop of early 20th century buildings, to visit the former concessions areas and narrow streets of the Old Town - Shikumen. Also visit Zhou Enlai Residence. After climbing the Oriental Pearl Tower (second floor), you will attend a fabulous Acrobatic Show in the evening.
Day 13: Shanghai (B.D)
After breakfast, you will be free to explore this fast moving and ever evolving city. You will have your buffet dinner in your hotel.
Day 14: Shanghai - Australia (B)
You are at leisure until transfer to the airport to fly home.
Day 15: Australia
You arrive in Australia in the morning. Your unforgettable China tour ends.
