Great Australian Fashion Show Tour to Vietnam

The Great Australian Fashion Show is a laudable and carefully considered undertaking, conceived by John Scriven when in 1987 then a senior lecturer in Fashion Design at the National Art School/Sydney Institute of Technology, took his final year students to present Australia's first full fashion show in the fashion capital of the world - Paris. After the great success of this event, presenting 2 shows a day for 10 days at Printemps fashion department store, and being seen by over 20,000 people, he was encouraged to continue with this project on a yearly basis.

Since 1987 the Great Fashion Show has travelled to all parts of the globe taking with it a different group of young Australians each year. In January 2010 we have been invited back to Vietnam. They are planing 3 fashion spectaculars during our 14 day visit. Two of these shows will be sponsored and held in Novotel properties and the third will be an open-air presentation for the underprivileged of the Mekong Delta and is sponsored by Vietnam Television.

This year we are delighted to announce that Gracie Matthews, Hon. Secretary of the Textile Institute New South Wales and an International Council Member will be the shows co-ordinator.
The Great Australian Fashion Show is a non-government non-profit organization, which is, each year self funded by its participating members. All proceeds from the overseas fashion shows are given directly to charities in the country we preform in.

We have just had our 2009 brochures completed, which encompass more than 50 tour itineraries to China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Turkey and Egypt.

In our 2009 brochure, you will find that some changes to some of our current itineraries have been made with more emphasis to the countryside areas and the off beaten track areas and also some new destinations such as Malaysia and Taiwan and some new itineraries have been introduced. With all these changes and the introduction of the new itineraries and destinations, you will have more holiday options from our company, and you will have more opportunity to relish the amazing diversity of those countries and regions covered in our brochures and cultures they have to offer.

From time to time, we do some special promotions for our customers. You will find some promotional tours in this newsletter, which offer excellent value. On this Newsletter, we introduce to you some of our specials for next year and some new and exciting tours.
